The Forsyth County Archery Club is a member of 4-H, but the club is also a member of JOAD which stands for Junior Olympic Archery Development.
JOAD has a great program that allows archers to shoot for a qualifying score to win pins. The scores start out easy enough with some practice, but as the child earns the pins, the requirements gets harder and harder. The JOAD pin program has different requirements for the pins for the indoor distances compared to the outdoor distances. The kids just love this program, and to earn the higher pins is certainly worthy of bragging rights.
Membership in the club covers the costs of the pins. The lanyard (ribbon) shown in the picture only costs $3 to purchase.
During the JOAD pin shoots, most archers participate in the shoot, however our club still has beginner lessons for those new to archery. Won’t you come out and join us?
