Hello Archers!

Just a quick reminder that there will *NOT* be practice Saturday. The 4-H State Indoor Tournament is that day. Please wish our participating members the best of luck at the tournament tomorrow. It should be a lot of fun!

Regards,
Coach Kevin Cully

I’m often asked about dress codes for tournaments. I’ve gathered up the dress code effective as of 2010. We’ll also use this dress code for the 4-H tournaments as well. It is important that the Forsyth County Archery Club members present a good image when representing our club.

USAA Dress Code:

1. All athletes and coaches must present a professional, athletic appearance while on the field. (Torn, ripped or badly faded clothing articles are not allowed.) Clothing may be of any color.
2. No camo or blue denim (jeans) may be worn at target events. Accessories such as trim on shirts, caps, quivers, armguards, footwear, etc., are permitted to be camo.
3. Shorts, skorts and skirts must not be shorter than finger tip length while standing normally.
4. Men and women are required to wear upper garments covering the front and back of the body and covering the midriff when at full draw. Women’s upper garments shall have a minimum strap of 3″ or sleeves. Men’s upper garments shall have short or long sleeves.
5. Sport/athletic shoes are recommended to all athletes and coaches during target events. Shoes must cover the entire foot.
6. At no time will any athlete or coach wear any article bearing any image or language to be considered offensive to others.

Forsyth County Archery Club Tournament Dress Code:

1. A club shirt should be worn. If you were unable to purchase a club shirt in time for the tournament, a plain (no logo) colored shirt matching the team color may be worn; royal blue.
2. Khaki bottoms that meet the above guidelines.
3. Full covering shoes. No sandals or open toed shoes.

Hello Archers,

We’ve checked the radar and we’ve checked with General Lee, the weather prognosticating groundhog from Atlanta. It looks like the rain will hold off this morning so … we’ll hold archery practice.

While the weatherman and a semi-subterranean rodent are not predicting rain, there still may be a stray shower. Please dress appropriately in layers with some sort of water resistant coat/jacket. If your coat is too bulky, just slip it off while on the shooting line and put it back on when done shooting.

REMINDER! Bring your $15 today to pay for the 4-H Indoor State Tournament. Cash or check. Correct change is appreciated.

We’ll see you on the field,
Coach Kevin Cully
