Check in on http://forsytharchery.com at 11am for the official call on whether the party will be held today (no rain) or tomorrow (rain).

By looking at the radar, it’s looking questionable. We’ll know more in a couple of hours.

The National Field Archery Association (NFAA), and the Easton Sports Development Foundation II, have generously awarded a total of $20,000 in scholarships this year to college archers.

The Joint Scholarship Approval Committee, comprised of Directors from both the National Field Archery Association and the Easton Sports Development Foundation II, jointly decided the winners and amount for each of the winners. Among the criteria considered were the applicant’s grade point average, their prior year USAT ranking, and their participation in a number of national archery events or programs hosted by the NFAA, US Collegiate Archery, USA Archery, and NASP.

We might get just a touch wet today but it doesn’t look like there’s any lightning.

We invite all archers to come as early as 3pm for a JOAD shoot through to 5pm. Hope to see you there.

Great article on how to help get the word out in colleges about the archery program and how to market it properly. It’s up to all of us archery fans to spread the word whether it is community, college, or adult programs.

The response has been overwhelming since we did this advertising. The first year did only went by word of mouth, and with the introduction of our promotional materials, we have doubled in size in two weeks. Most of the people who have joined have seen the posters or received a brochure at an activity fair and said that the ads were the reason why they were so interested in joining. The main reason I hear about why they were so interested is because of the message we conveyed, showing that archery is not just a bunch of hunters or people flinging arrows, but a structured traveling team. The ads changed their perception of what archery is and showed them a new side of the sport they didn’t even know of.
