Not much compares to the smiles on kids’ faces when they begin hitting their targets. If you haven’t been to an archery range where kids are learning to shoot, you are missing out on something good. And too often these days, the politically correct parents and the mainstream media suggest that shooting sports are in decline around the country. In fact, studies have shown that if kids aren’t exposed to the awesome lifestyle of the shooting sports by the age of 10, many of them will never pick up a gun or bow and never get a taste of what hunting and other shooting sports have to offer.

Many parents would rather have little Johnny playing soccer instead of shooting arrows. And if it isn’t soccer, it’s other sports, which is all fine and well, but to me, archery offers a little more. How’s that? It’s simple. For one thing, kids don’t have to be athletes. Not all kids are gifted that way. Archery teaches discipline and respect for weaponry. As well as hand-eye coordination.
