It’s good to see that Old Man Winter doesn’t slow down archery in Massachusetts.
WINTER ARCHERY LEAGUE: The public is invited to participate in the Swift River Sportsman’s Club Winter League and a variety of other bow shooting events, which will run for 12 consecutive weeks, according to archery chairman Pete Bonneau. He can be reached at 413-967-7993.
Publicity chairman Dana Charbonneau said the Target or “spot league” will begin Jan. 5, the Hunter League with animal targets will start Jan. 6, and Family Fun Night for adult s with children will begin Jan. 9 with user-friendly equipment available for beginners. The above will open for practice beginning at 6:30 p.m. with competition starting at 7. The fee is $6 per night for adults and $5 for kids.
The Saturday Junior League will begin Jan. 10 at 9 a.m.
