Multi-million-dollar archery center in Newberry inches closer to reality
The Easton Sports Development Foundation has committed $1.5 million for the construction of the archery center and the administrative area, while the city of Newberry will pay the remaining $900,000 for the construction of the community recreation side of the center, site prep and infrastructure.
The archery center has the potential to greatly impact Newberry’s economy, as people are expected to come from around the world to train at the center, one of just several in the country.
The center also will be a host to national and maybe international competitions.
